When you want to play the sounds of great classic synthesizers you either need a whole bunch of classic keyboards - or a computer. Both are not very practical for Live Performances in terms of weight and space or reliability.
What if you could have a whole array of classic synthesizers in a package which is light on your back and light on your wallet?
DinoPark is an amazingly flexible, one-of-its-kind DSP-based sound synthesizer module. Utilizing CreamWare’s legendary modelling technology, DinoPark offers seven (7) models across different synthesis methods including subtractive synthesis, wavetable synthesis, FM synthesis and physical modeling. Resulting in a huge variety and spectrum of sounds - infinitely larger than the box is comes in! :)
DinoPark mobile comes loaded with precise and authentic models of classic synthesizer and organ legends. It also features new and innovative models like the DnB, the powerful bass and drum synthesizer!
Now as also a Eurorack version of DinoPark is available - the original DinoPark has now been named the “DinoPark mobile”.
Many are tired of conventional products which can not be changed, expanded, re-purposed or re- packaged. That is why we created MakeHaus - the MakePro Module System - which allows solutions to be adaptable, scalable and to grow with your ideas. And that is also why we made DinoPark so modular. DinoPark can not only be build in two variants (base and EX) but also expanded with DinoDials (again in two variants: 8 or 12 encoders - in the same original housing). Its modularity even enables DinoPark to be embedded and mounted in custom MakeHaus devices as one of the (potentially) many sound synthesis devices which can be controlled via MakeHaus devices and the GLUE software.
For you this means: DinoPark is shipping as a set of modules which you have to interconnect to DIY assemble the DinoPark device. We call such a kit a “MakeKit” - a MakeKit contains all parts required to build one specific cool thing. No need to be scared! It is not complicated at all - everyone can do that and it is highly enjoyable to put together with your own hands. See just how easy it is: http://wiki.makeproaudio.com/index.php/How_To_Build_Your_DinoPark
Yes you can - we are ofering the DinoBoard as well as DinoDisplay and DinoBreakout separately in the MakeHaus Online Store. With just the DinoBoard and a DinoDisplay - maybe add the DinoDials - you can install the DinoPark into whatever you can imagine!
No. DinoPark does not use “native” processing on Windows/iOS and Intel basis. It achieves its outstanding sound, its super low latency, its small form factor and its low price point by employing a highly powerful, specialized signal processor - the Analog Devices SHARC DSP and avoiding the overhead of an operating system. Therefore, VSTi can not run on a DSP and vice versa.
The idea of the EXL version was to enable stacking of multiple DinoBoards in a single housing without the help of GLUE. We stopped going into this direction in favour of GLUE - which will enable combining multiple DinoBoards in a nicely controlled and scalable environment. Please stand by for GLUE to be released, you will see why it was worth the wait!
Not today. Although we ourselves use the SCOPE SDK to develop for DinoPark, the extreme complexity of the toolchain does not allow us to support 3rd Party development for DinoPark at this point in time.

The DinoPark mobile MakeKit can be ordered in two versions - the base model and the EX model. While the base model is limited to MIDI interfacing via USB (either as USB Device or as USB Host) the EX model comes with the DinoBreakout and provides extra MIDI In/Out/Thru connectors (3.5mm MMA/Korg pinout) as well as S/PDIF I/O and analog inputs which are nice to have for chaining of devices.

DinoDials are an optional expansion for DinoPark mobile (and mobile EX) devices and can be slided into the rails on the top of the unit. DinoDials come in two sizes - with either 8 or 12 touch-sensitive and freely assignable encoders! The display of the DinoPark will show the name of the parameter already when you slightly touch a knob - that makes “remebering” parameters real easy. Your favourite parameters in direct reach - great for your performance!

Another great performance feature is the Snapshot functionality which the DinoDial makes available! The encoders have a push switch function. A long push will store whatever sound is currently heard for later recall. Then, when playing live, a quick push of an encoder will recall the model/sound combination in a fraction of a second! and DinoPark does it in a fraction of a second. You can save as many different Snapshots as there are knobs - so 8 for the DinoDials 8 and 12 for the larger DinoDials variant!
There are specialized synthesizers that give you great results within their limited scope of specialization. Then there are versatile synthesizers that cover a large sonic spectrum using a sample-playback engine. And then there is DinoPark.
Nothing quite compares to its coupling of modular software technology and dedicated uber powerful Analog Devices SHARC DSP processor to do the sonic math. It’s this unprecedented technology pairing that puts DinoPark - and its CreamWare predecessors like Noah and the ASB units - in a class all by itself and how it can emulate such a variety of synthesizers and synthesis forms, in the most minute detail. DinoPark is a multi- specialist that can load - and perform as responsive hardware - very different synthesis specialization, thus being able to cover a very large sonic spectrum while delivering superior sound quality, like only specialized synthesizers can.
DinoPark features the same algorithms as the highly praised CreamWare Noah and ASB synthesizers, built between 2003 and 2008.
